CPS Investigates After Shots Fired

The Calgary Police Service is investigating after shots were fired in northeast Calgary this morning. 

On Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at approximately 10:05 a.m., police received reports of shots fired in the 5700 block of Maidstone Cres. N.E.

One bullet entered an occupied home, and one bullet hit the exterior of another residence. 

Officers continue to check whether any other homes were affected. There were no injuries reported.

Because at least one firearm was involved, the CPS Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating this incident.

As they are in the early stages of this investigation, no further details are available at this time.
