Cops and Crêpes Success
Sent on behalf of the Alberta Law Enforcement Torch Run
With the help of hungry Albertans, the province’s law enforcement agencies have served up close to $66,000 for some very special athletes.
On March 8 and 9, 2014, Alberta Law Enforcement Torch Run officers from throughout the province bussed tables and refilled coffee at local Cora Breakfast and Lunch Restaurants in support of Special Olympics.
Proceeds from the annual Cops and Crêpes fundraiser, this year totaling $65,719.36, go directly to support Special Olympics athletes in Alberta.
The mission of the LETR is to raise awareness and funds for the Special Olympics movement worldwide. The mission of Special Olympics Alberta is to enrich the lives of Albertans with intellectual disabilities through sport.
Everyone involved with LETR, Special Olympics and Cora Restaurants would like to thank diners who came out to support this group of remarkable athletes. See you next year!
