Cops and Crepes in Support of Special Olympics

This weekend, Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22, law enforcement officers and Cora Restaurants throughout Alberta will join forces to host Cops and Crepes to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics. Each Cora Restaurant in Alberta will have uniformed officers partnered with Special Olympics athletes to serve the public.

The provincial fundraising event, Cops and Crepes, is a unique partnership between law enforcement and Cora franchisees to raise funds for Special Olympics so they can continue to train in year-round sports activities. Officers involved in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics have made Cops and Crepes one of their annual signature events. In 2014, Cops and Crepes raised over $62,000 for Special Olympics Alberta.

Throughout the month of March, all Cora restaurants in Alberta will be collecting donations for Special Olympics. With each donation, Cora guests will have the opportunity to enter to win fabulous draw prizes. This weekend, $1 from the sale of every fruit cocktail drink will be donated to Special Olympics.

Guests at Cora Breakfast and Lunch Restaurants will see law enforcement and athletes helping bus tables, refilling coffee, offering a chance to purchase merchandise, take donations, and get to know the officers and athletes involved.

The Alberta Law Enforcement Torch Run and Cora Breakfast and Lunch Restaurants invite all media and the general public to join them for breakfast this weekend. More details and individual locations can be found at www.albertatorchrun.ca
