Child Injured in South East Collision

On September 14, 2013, at approximately 11:15 am, a young boy riding his bicycle, was struck by a motor vehicle in the intersection of 36 Street and Erinwoods Blvd. SE. The child, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, was taken to hospital for precautionary reasons. Given the nature of the collision and the age of the child, the Calgary Police Service Traffic Section has taken over the investigation which is ongoing. As the investigation progresses, temporary road closures near at Erinwoods Blvd and Peigan Trail SE will be in effect. More information on this investigation is expected later in the day from the Traffic Section investigators.
