Charges upgraded in downtown shooting of innocent bystander

Charges have been upgraded in relation to a downtown shooting that killed Natasha Mohamed FARAH, 26.

Hussein IBRAHIM, 21, is now charged with one count of second degree murder. He was originally charged with discharging firearm recklessness. His next court date is scheduled for Sept. 19, 2014.

At approximately 3 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, police were called to 11 Avenue and 1 Street S.W., for reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, officers found a female suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead on scene.
