Charges Pending in Serious Collision

The Calgary Police Service Traffic Section continues to investigate a serious collision in the city’s southeast yesterday afternoon.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, a cube van being driven out of the parking lot at 7373 11 St. S.E., struck a pedestrian. The driver of the van was attempting to merge on to westbound Heritage Drive S.E., when he struck the man.

The 55-year-old victim was completely run over by the van and was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition.

Charges against the driver of the van are pending.
