Charges Laid in Suspicious Death

The Calgary Police Service has charged a man in connection with the suspicious death investigation.

At approximately 10:15 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2013, police responded to reports of an injured man in the 200 block of 8 Avenue S.E. Upon arrival officers found a man, and with assistance from EMS, determined he was deceased.

A short time later, one man was taken into custody.

William LITTLECHILD, 20, of Calgary, is charged with second-degree murder.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday, July 29, 2013, to determine the manner and cause of death, as well as to complete a formal identification of the victim. No further information will be available until the autopsy has been completed.
