Charges Laid in Hit and Run

The Calgary Police Service has charged a man in relation to a hit and run involving a mother and her two children.
 
At approximately 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2015, a woman and her two toddlers were crossing the street in a marked crosswalk at Temple Drive and 56 Street N.E. when they were struck by a white Honda vehicle. The vehicle failed to remain at the scene.
 
The woman and both children were transported to hospital. The children were released shortly after, and the mother remains in hospital in stable condition.
 
Adnan MAQSOOD, 30, was arrested and charged on Friday, Aug. 7, 2015, with criminal hit and run causing bodily harm, driving without undue care and attention and failing to yield to a pedestrian at a crosswalk.
