Charges in Online Threats
The Calgary Police Service has charged a minor for online threats against a school and the safety of the students and staff.
Just before 3 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, police became aware of threats made on a social media site towards a Calgary high school.
Following a complex investigation involving a number of units, a 15-year-old male student has been charged with possession of a weapon, threats and extortion. Under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the young offender cannot be named.
