Charges in Bank Robberies

The Calgary Police Service has laid charges in a series of bank robberies that occurred last fall.

On three occasions, a man entered financial institutions, presented a note to the teller indicating he was armed with a weapon and demanded cash. In all three cases he was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled.

These robberies took place:

Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, approximately 7 p.m., at the Bank of Montreal in the 4300 block of 130 Avenue S.E.
Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, approximately 6 p.m., at the TD Canada Trust in the 4300 block of 130 Avenue S.E.
Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, around 5:30 p.m., at the Bank of Montreal in the 19000 block of Sheriff King Street S.W.

Peter Charles McLean, 32, of Calgary, has been charged with three counts of bank robbery.
