Carjacking Incident

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to identify and locate a woman believed linked to a carjacking earlier today.

At approximately 10:10 a.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2015, a woman and her passenger were in a vehicle in the Marlborough Mall parking lot, located at 3800 Memorial Drive N.E., when a woman approached the car. The woman showed the driver a gun and demanded she get out of the vehicle. The driver exited the vehicle and the woman took off with the passenger still in the car.

At approximately 10:25 a.m., the passenger, who suffers from a medical condition, was located in the 5000 block of Marbank Drive N.E. EMS was called in to assess both the driver and the passenger. Neither victim was injured.

The woman who allegedly stole the vehicle is described as Caucasian, between 30 and 40 years old, with a heavy build, and long brown hair that was tied up in a ponytail. She was wearing a grey hoodie, a grey winter jacket with a fur-lined hood, black pants and brown shoes.

The stolen vehicle is described as a 2007 Toyota RAV4, light-blue in colour with Alberta plates ZSK727.
