Body Found in River

The Calgary Police Service is investigating after a body was found in a Calgary river this afternoon.

Just after 12:30 p.m., today, Wednesday, May 8, 2013, police were called to the banks of the Bow River near the 0-100 block of Gosling Way, after a fisherman spotted a body.

As is standard procedure in such situations, the Homicide Unit has been called out to investigate along with the Medical Examiner.

An autopsy has been scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, May 9, 2013. No other information will be available until the autopsy has been completed.
