Body found in Bow River not suspicious

Following an autopsy and investigation, the Calgary Police Service has determined that the body recovered from the Bow River on Wednesday is not a criminal matter.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, the Calgary Fire Department recovered a body from the river and the Homicide Unit launched an investigation. The Medical Examiner’s Office completed the autopsy on Thursday, April 30, 2015.

Since this is not a criminal matter, no further information about the deceased or the investigation will be released.
