Bank Robbery

Police are seeking public assistance in relation to a bank robbery that took place yesterday afternoon.
 
On Friday, February 1, 2013, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a young man robbed the Scotiabank located in the 3200 block of 17 Ave. S.E.
 
The man entered the bank and posed as a customer waiting in line for an available teller. Once he reached the teller's station, he produced a hold-up note, was given an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the bank.
 
The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, approximately 6’ tall and 170 lbs., with no discernible accent. He had a slim build, light-toned complexion and was wearing a dark-colored toque and grey hoodie. He indicated he had a weapon, but one was not seen.
