Applewood Break-ins

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect in several nighttime home break-ins.

Between Friday, Jan. 24 and Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, six homes in the community of Applewood were broken into. In one of the cases, the homeowner interrupted the offender, who then fled.

The offender was able to gain entry into the homes by kicking in basement doors or windows, but in one case, the offender attempted to enter a home by using a ladder to access a second-floor window.

During the break-ins, bedrooms were ransacked and jewelry and cash were taken.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, between 20 and 40 years old, 5’10” to 6’ tall, and approximately 140 pounds. He was wearing a black toque, black jacket and black pants.
