Accused Poppy Box Thief Arrested

A man wanted for numerous poppy box thefts in Calgary has been arrested and charged.

On Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, RCMP arrested Dwayne Shane SOROKA, 31, near Lloydminster, Alta., without incident.

SOROKA has been charged with eight counts of theft under $5,000, however, the investigation continues.

There were 18 reported incidents of poppy boxes being stolen in Calgary since the beginning of November. One other person has been charged in relation to one of the incidents.
