Update: Stabbing Incident in Southwest Calgary

The Calgary Police Service has concluded its investigation into yesterday’s stabbing near a southwest school.

At approximately 11:45 a.m., on Friday, March 8, 2013, in the 200 block of Canterbury Drive S.W., a young man was stabbed by another teen. The victim’s injuries were minor in nature.

After interviewing everyone involved, it has been determined that the two young men are friends, and were horsing around when one of the men accidentally stabbed the other.

The teen with the knife attended to his friend and attempted First Aid until emergency crews arrived.

No charges will be laid on connection with the stabbing, however, the teen with the knife does face a charge of breaching his conditions as a result of a separate and unrelated incident.
