Fuel Truck Rolls at Airport
Firefighters responded to a call for a truck turned on it's side at the Calgary International Airport last evening.
The truck containing between 8000 and 10000 litres of jet full was on the apron near Gate 17 when the mishap took place. Firefighters stood by as emergency crews drill a hole into the fuel compartment and then transferred the fuel to another truck. A tow truck was then used to roll the truck back to it's wheels. A small amount of fuel had leaked from the tank but was contained and picked up. The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries but did not need to go to hospital. The cause of the rollover is under investigation.
