Fire Department Rescues Woman Trapped in Car

At approximately 8:00 a.m. fire crews were called to the intersection of 52 Street and 106 Avenue S.E. for reports of a motor vehicle collision. Upon arrival firefighters discovered a two vehicle collision with a female driver trapped in a car. Crews immediately began extrication efforts with pneumatic tools and rescued her. The victim suffered serious injury and her care was transfered to EMS. Firefighters cleaned up the scene and traffic was returned to normal.
