Calgary Fire Responds To Early Afternoon Fire in the N.W.

Just before 12:00 P.M. today the Calgary Fire Department was called to the 3900 block of Centre B St N.W. for reports of a building fire. First arriving crews reported a well developed fire on the exterior of a home with possible extension into the interior of the structure. An aggressive fire attack and a simultaneous search for occupants was initiated. The fire was quickly brought under control and no injuries have been reported . No residents were home at the time of the fire and the 911 call was initiated by a neighbor. Fire investigators are on scene conducting their investigation and cause has not been determined at this time. Centre B Street N.W.remains closed due to fire operations and traffic is being rerouted around a 1 block radius. Calgary Fire will be  maintaining a presence at this scene well into the afternoon .
