Calgary Fire Department responds to parkade fire in South West

Shortly after noon today, the Calgary Fire Department responded to the parkade of a South West mall for reports of a vehicle fire. Fire crews arrived at the 6400 block of McLeod Trail to find a luxury sports car with a fire in the engine compartment. Firefighters quickly contained the fire resulting in no damage to surrounding vehicles or structures. Access to the parkade was limited due to the smoke, which was removed by firefighters with the use of fans and the parkade's ventilation system. No injuries were reported as a result for this fire and Fire Investigators are on scene to determine cause.
