Calgary Fire Department responds to multiple vehicle collision on Deerfoot South

Just before 1:30 this afternoon, the Calgary Fire Department responded  a multiple vehicle collision on southbound Deerfoot Trail, south of 17th Avenue S.E. 10 vehicles including two semi trailers and a cube van were involved in the collisions. One driver needed to be extricated by fire crews and care was transferred to EMS. Another driver sustained minor injuries and is also being assessed by EMS. Traffic in the area is seriously affected and only one lane is open southbound at this time.
