Calgary Fire Department performs confined space rescue in Quarry Park

 

 

 

Just before 9:00 this morning, the Calgary Fire Department was called to a construction site at the 500 block of Quarry Park Blvd S.E. for a confined space rescue. A worker had fallen approximately 3 metres and landed in the basement of a building in the early stages of construction. The CFD Heavy Rescue Team was also on scene to assist with the rescue. The patient is conscious and breathing and his care was transferred to a waiting EMS unit. Occupational Health and Safety have been called to the scene.
