Calgary Fire Department Hazardous Materials Team Isolates Unknown Substance At S.W. Business

 

At approximately 11:30 this morning, the Calgary Fire Department was called to the 4800 block of Richard Road S.W. for reports of an unknown substance found in the mail room of a business at that location. The Hazardous Materials Team successfully contained the package for further investigation and identification. Six civilians were reported to have had some contact with the substance and have been isolated for further assessment. Movement in and out of the building has been temporarily suspended. CPS and EMS are also on scene assisting with the incident.
