Calgary Fire crews respond to N.E. community for explosion

At approximately 2:00 this afternoon, Calgary fire crews responded to the 200 block of Los Alamos Place N.E. for reports of an explosion. Upon arrival, firefighters saw evidence that an explosion had taken place and the resulting fire was quickly extinguished. No residents were found in the home however initial reports indicate three people were driven to an area hospital. The Calgary Fire Department Heavy Rescue Team assessed the structure and determined that damage did not seriously affect the structural integrity of the house. Fire Department and Calgary Police Service investigators are currently on scene to determine cause.
