Calgary Fire Crews Respond to Collision In S.E. Sending A Toddler And Two Adults To Hospital

At 11 this morning, Calgary Fire crews responded to the intersection of Shawville BV and Shawville Gate S.E. for a collision between a vehicle and a female pedestrian pushing a stroller with a toddler inside. The male driver lost control of his vehicle, for reasons yet to be determined, struck several objects on the side of the road, went through an intersection, striking the stroller and coming to a stop near an electrical box some distance away. Upon arrival on scene, firefighters ensured scene safety and began basic trauma life support on the toddler, who appeared to have been thrown from the stroller due to the impact of the collision. Firefighters also worked with EMS to load and transport all three of the patients.
