Calgary Fire Chief Implements Level Three Fire Ban

maltese cross
Effective tonight at 10:00 p.m.(22:00 hours), the Fire Chief of the Calgary Fire Department, Bruce Burrell, implemented a Level Three Fire Ban. Conditions currently involve extremely low humidity combined with anticipated dry, warm winds in the city of Calgary, creating an extreme level of fire risk. The Level Three Fire Ban includes all open flames with the exception of internal household fireplaces and liquid fuel barbecues (propane and natural gas). The Calgary Fire Department would like to remind all Calgarians to exercise extreme caution with all potential ignition sources. For further information, please contact 311.
