The Calgary Fire Department responds to garage fire in the South West

Shortly before 8:00 this evening, the Calgary Fire Department responded to the 2800 block of 45 St SW for reports of a garage fire.  Upon arrival, fire crews found a detached double garage, at the rear of the address, with smoke venting from a doorway. Firefighters attacked the fire, with hose streams, though the open door, and quickly brought it under control.  At the time of the fire, there were four adults at home. Thankfully no one was injured.  The fire was confined to a 4 meter area with no apparent structural damage to the garage.  The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
