One Person Extricated from Motor Vehicle Collision in The North West

Just before 7:30 this evening the Calgary Fire Department was called to the intersection of14th Street and 21st avenue N.W. for reports of a motor vehicle accident. When crews arrived they found evidence of two vehicles that had been involved in a collision with one person trapped and unable to exit their vehicle. Fire department personell used hydraulic extrication equipment to free the trapped motorist and patient care was transferd to on scene Alberta Health Services members who transported  the patient to a area hospital. No other injuries were reported .14 street north and south bound are currently closed while the Calgary Police Service conducts an investigation.
