Mobile Home Fire Quickly Extinguished By Calgary Fire Department Crews

This evening, just after 7:30, The Calgary Fire Department responded to reports of smoke coming from a mobile home at Chateau Estates in the 1100 block of 84 street NE. First arriving crews encountered smoke coming from the rear of the residence. It appears that the fire had made its way through an interior wall into the attic space. Crews, after gaining access to the attic, rapidly brought the fire under control. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and Investigators are on scene to begin their investigation. The lone occupant was assessed by Alberta Health Services personnel for smoke inhalation but was soon released. There were no other injuries reported and crews will be remaining on scene for some time checking for hot spots.
