Level III Fire Ban lifted

The Calgary Fire Department has lifted the Level III Fire Ban ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The change is effective immediately.
On Friday, Oct. 4, the Calgary Fire Department issued a Level III Fire Ban as seasonal foliage and several weeks of dry weather increased risk.
The recent moisture and lower temperatures have culminated in the decision to lift the ban, and The Calgary Fire Department thanks Calgarians for their adherence over the past week.
Although the fire ban for the City of Calgary has been lifted, The Calgary Fire Department would like to remind citizens travelling out of town for the long weekend to respect fire bans that may still be in effect in other jurisdictions.
