House Fire on Mardale Crescent NE.

Firefighters were called to a house fire on the 0-100 block of Mardale Crescent NE. at 9;30 this evening. The first in crew arrived to find smoke coming out of the home and began a interior attack to control the fire. It was quickly brought under control and was confined to the kitchen. Three adults were home at the time but managed to leave without injury. Firefighters were able to locate a cat while doing a search of the home and retuned him to the owners without incident. It is believe that an unattended item on the stove may have been the cause but that is part of the investigation. The residents will stay with friends for the time being.
