House Fire in the SE

At approximately 10 this evening, Calgary Fire Crews responded to reports of a house fire in the 100 block of Cramond Green SE. Arriving crews encountered heavy smoke billowing from the second floor of the two story single family home. A family of five consisting of Mom, Dad and 3 children aged 2, 4, and 7 were in the home at the time of the fire. Dad did exactly as he should have when he discovered the fire in the upstairs area, he immediately evacuated his family outside and called the Fire Department on his cell phone from a safe area. The family has accommodation arranged as the home will not be immediately habitable due to the fire and smoke damage. No injuries occurred at this incident. Cause of the blaze is currently under investigation.
