House Fire In Hawkwood

At approximately 6:00 a.m. this morning the Calgary Fire Department was called to a house fire on Hawkwood Drive N.W.On arrival, fire crews confirmed smoke showing and began an aggressive interior attack and primary search. Firefighters quickly and successfully contained the fire. All occupants were accounted for with no reported injuries. There were five pets reported to be in the home at the time of the fire and all were accounted for. The fire was contained to the room of origin however the rest of the home suffered smoke damage. The fire is currently under investigation.
