Firefighters Extricate Victim from Truck Collision

Firefighters were called to a motor vehicle collision involving two large gravel haulers on a service road near Deerfoot Trail and Southland Drive SE. The collision occured as one of the trucks struck the pup trailer of the second truck as they passed on the road. The driver of the first truck was trapped in the cab of his unit. Firefighters used their hydraulic recsue tools and equipment to free him from the truck. His care was then turned over to Paramedics on scene. City Police are on scene to investigate the cause.
