Fire Crews Respond To House Fire In The S.W.

 At approximately midnight the Calgary Fire Department responded to reports of a possible house fire in the 4700 block of 40 Avenue S. W . First arriving crews reported a fully involved house fire and requested a second alarm for additional resources due to the large volume of fire.  Fire personnel quickly located and accounted for all occupants and large volumes of water were applied to the structure. Nine homes were initially evacuated as a precautionary measure. Six residents from the two damaged homes were unable to return and alternate accommodations have been arranged. No injuries were reported. The house of origin had extensive damage and one adjacent home suffering significant damage. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
