Fire Crews Respond to Grass Fire in S.E.

 

At approximately 8:10 this evening the Calgary Fire Department responded to the 3800 block of Ogden Road S.E. for reports of a grass fire.  Upon arrival crews discovered a grass fire on both sides of a railway line.  Due to wind conditions, additional resources were required to bring the rapidly advancing fire under control.  The fire consumed approximately five acres of grassland and small trees.  No buildings were affected.  No injuries were reported.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
