Fire Crews perform challenging rescue

Earlier this morning Calgary Fire Department crews responded to the 7800 block of 35 street SE for reports of an overturned forklift inside a transport trailer that was being off loaded. The weight of the  forklift while removing product  caused the center of gravity to shift allowing the trailer to fall forward and causing the forklift to overturn. Access to the operator was complicated due the location of the forklift and the shifted contents inside. The Calgary Fire Department Confined Space Rescue Team was utilized to stabilize the trailer and contents and remove the victim without incident. Patient care was turned over to on scene Alberta Health Services personnel.
