Fire Crews Battle House Fire In Bridgeland

 

At approximately 10 am today, 911 received several calls for a house fire at the 200 block of 8th Street N.E. When fire crews arrived, the fire had already caused significant damage to the home including compromising the structural integrity of the floor. This resulted in the strategic decision to fight the fire defensively. Firefighters immediately focused on preventing fire spread to neighbouring homes by protecting exposures. Authorities are currently trying to locate the occupant of the home. CPS, EMS, Enmax and Atco Gas are all on scene assisting with the incident. The cause and origin is not known at this time and the investigation continues.
