Fire At Commercial Fuelling Station in N.E.

Shortly after 10;30pm this evening,the Calagry Fire Department responded to reports of a possible building fire at a commercial fuelling station on 32 avenue N.E. First arriving crews reported smoke and fire in the overhead canopy area of the service station. The fuel pumps were turned off as a precaution and crews used aerial ladders to gain access to the canopy structure. The fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished with minor damage to the canopy and no damage to the adjacent structure or fuel pumps. No injuries were reported and fire investigators are currently on scene determining cause. The service station has remained open during this event with only the north fueling area affected.
