Early morning fire at Willow Park School

 

At approximately 4 a.m. this morning the Calgary Fire Department responded to alarm bells ringing at Willow Park School at 343 Willow Park Drive S.E. When crews arrived they discovered the building full of smoke and a fully involved fire in one of the classrooms. Firefighters put out the fire and are still on scene working to clear smoke from the building. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

 

There wil be no school today for students of the school. Families of students attending Willow Park School are asked to visit the Calgary Board of Education or School website for more information.
