Early Morning Car Dealership Fire in the SW

At approximately 6 this morning, Calgary Fire crews responded to reports of a building fire at a car dealership on 14 St and 9 Ave SW. Crews arrived to find fire climbing the front face of the business. The fire was quickly extinguished and a thorough search for hot spots of the building’s exterior and interior was completed using a thermal imaging camera.  Damage was confined to the exterior of the building. No injuries were reported at this incident. Cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

 

The fire was called in to 911 by several motorists passing the area during rush hour. The Fire Department would like to thank citizens for their vigilance, and care.
