Carbon Monoxide Leak in South West

Just before 6:00a.m.this morning the Calgary Fire Department responded to the Windsor Park area for a Carbon Monoxide problem in a residence.First arriving crews reported elevated Carbon Monoxide levels in a residence that was being occupied by three people. The occupants had evacuated earlier and were back inside the home when crews arrived. Due to the age of one of the residents Alberta Health Services was dispatched and subsequently transported a youth to an area hospital as a precautionary measure. No other injuries were reported and Fire Department personnel remain on scene determining the origin of the leak.
A reminder to Calgarians there is a reason that Carbon Monoxide is called the silent killer and residents should evacuate the area when a detector is activated .
