Calgary Firefighters Respond To Mall Fire

At 7:30 PM on January 7 firefighters responded to reports of smoke at the Marlborough Mall on 3800 Memorial Drive NE. On arrival crews discovered smoke in the common areas of the mall. Patrons of the mall were evacuated until the cause of smoke could be found. A small fire was found on the roof which was quickly extinguished. Fire crews ventilated mall and checked air quality before allowing patrons to go back in. The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
