Calgary Fire Department responds to Strip Mall Fire

Calgary Fire Department crews responded to a fire in a strip mall at 7005 18 St SE at 5:45 this morning. Crews were able to ventilate the building and quickly bring the fire under control. Fire damage was contained to one unit of the mall, with smoke damage to adjacent units. One occupant had self evacuated, no injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
