Calgary Fire Department responds to overturned asphalt truck

This morning at approximatey 08:45 the Calgary Fire Department was on scene at an overturned tractor trailer unit that had lost its load of asphalt on to the roadway at Westbound Glenmore trail to the Northbound Deerfoot Trail on ramp. Crews determined that there was a minor amount of contaminants that had leaked from the truck, however a large amount of asphalt had made its way onto the roadway. Carmacs is currently on scene to assist with the cleanup. The ramp affecting North and southbound access to Deerfoot trail from Westbound Glenmore will be closed for an undertermined amount of time.
