maltese cross
At approximately 9:15 this morning, Calgary firefighters including a Haz Mat were called to the 3600 block of 34th street N.E. for reports of an oil spill on private property. Employees who discovered the spill tried to contain it but quickly realized they needed help and called 911. Approximately 600 litres of a motor oil had leaked out of a storage container.  Firefighters have stopped the leak and cleaned up the spill with absorbent material. The company brought in a specialized truck to assist with the removal of the oil. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
