CALGARY FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO HOUSE FIRE IN TEMPLE

The Calgary Fire Department responded to reports of a house fire, shortly before 3pm today. Crews arrived on Templeby Dr. to a single family home fully involved. The 5 residents had self-evacuated prior to CFD arrival. Calgary Police Service assisted with traffic control in the area, allowing fire department vehicles access to the involved home.

28 Fire fighters were on scene to bring the fire under control quickly, and prevent any other damage to neighboring homes. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. Fire investigators will be on scene with crews for the evening.

The home is heavily damaged, and will residents will not be able to return at this time.
