Calgary Fire Department Responds to House Fire in SE

 

At approximately 6:30 this evening the Calgary Fire Department responded the 100 block of Queensland Drive S.W. for reports of a building fire.  Upon arrival crews discovered smoke showing from a unit in a multi-family townhouse complex.  Crews located and extinguished a fire in the basement of one unit.  A female resident was not home at the time of the incident.  Damage was moderate and contained to the involved unit.   The resident will not be returning to her home tonight and has made alternate accommodation arrangements.  No Injuries were reported.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
