Calgary Fire Department responds to house fire in Abbeydale

 

 

 

At approximately 2:10 this afternoon, Calgary fire crews were called to the 900 block of Abbeydale Drive N.E. for reports of a house fire. Six people with a dog and a cat self evacuated from the home prior to CFD arrival. Firefighters quickly kept the fire contained to the room of origin and successfully extinguished it. There were no reported injuries as a result of this fire which originated in the bathroom. There is smoke damage to other areas of the home therefore residents will not be allowed back inside today. Calgary Fire Department Investigators are on scene to determine the exact cause of this accidental fire.
